Three Months!

It is so hard to believe that Titus is already three months! Time has flown by and it is amazing how much he has already changed. He is sleeping through the night now, although he is also beginning to break out of his miracle blanket so I do not know how long this will last. He is also wanting to stand up, sings along with us, plays with his toys, and mimics words that we say, such as "Hi!" He is just such a joy and God has been so good to us by bringing him into our lives.

Kentucky and Texas Trip!

We recently had the opportunity to visit family in Kentucky and Texas, introducing Titus along the way. The trip was definitely a long one with a three month old baby, two dogs, and two worn out parents, but we made the best of things. Titus sure was a trooper and despite some good crying jags, I think he enjoyed some good quality time with his parents and family. Here are some highlights from the trip.

Here is Titus with his Grammy and Grampy in Kentucky on Mother's Day. My Father gave a great sermon entitled, "The Other Mother" about Hagar. We also had the chance to show Titus off to the congregation and Grampy had the opportunity to pray with his grandson.

Titus got the chance to enjoy some BBQ at Rudy's along the way. Well, he didn't really sample anything, he just watched from Joel's lap.

Here is Titus with his Great-Grandmother Flora.

Titus had the chance to meet a lot of the Ferguson side of the family at Grandma Flora's home. Here he is with his second cousin Krystal. She is the mom of three boys, so she had some excellent advice for raising Titus. Titus' Great-Aunt Suzanna was also wonderful with Titus and was the only one who could get him to sleep "like a baby."

This is Titus' Great-Great-Grandmother-Ma. She is just so wonderful and it was just a precious moment to see him in her arms. She used to run a nursery so she has a way with little ones.

As many of you know, Joel would not let Titus touch the ground until he came to Texas. Not just any old place would do...it had to be at the Alamo. So, Joel, Dad Ferguson, Casey, Titus, and I trekked down to San Antonio for this important milestone.

Here is a five generation picture. This is Joel, Titus, Ma, Great-Grandmother Stewart, and Mom Casarez (Gran). It is just so amazing and such a blessing that they could all be together for this visit.

Here is Titus with his Uncle Casey. It was super hot on our trip to San Antonio, so Titus enjoyed his milkshake. Casey is soon to be a father with his wife Lora, and from his interaction with his nephew, we can tell he is going to make a great Dad!

This is out at Dad Ferguson's home in Kyle. Grandpa just loved on Titus and it was great to see all of the boys together at the "ranch."

Here is Titus with his Pa for his night-time feeding.

Singing.

We love to sing to Titus and he loves hearing us sing as well (or at least we would like to think so). He makes cooing sounds while we sing and in church, so we think he loves the way music sounds. One of the first things we sang to him was a song Joel made up to go along with this commercial. It is such a catchy tune and Joel was so funny when he made it up. Basically, we sing "Bring me that little baby, bring him to me..."

Some Great Fellowship!

The ladies at our church, First Baptist Church of Waterford, hosted a baby shower for Titus yesterday. It was so sweet and Joel and I were reminded yet again how blessed we are to have such a wonderful church family. There were many women that I did not know at the shower, however, they sure knew me and let me know that they had been praying over my pregnancy and Titus' subsequent birth. I was just overwhelmed. Titus was loved on by all of the ladies and he definitely turned on the charm for everyone. Although Joel and I struggle with living in the Northeast, the Lord surely directed our paths to this church. As we were leaving, Joel remarked, "This is the first time in a long time that I have not felt sad about living up here." God knows just the right people to put in our lives and again we are so grateful.

Titus has some out of control hair! Basically, he looks like a little punk rocker...and I wouldn't change a thing. Here are some pictures that capture his mane:)
