Nine Months Old!

I know I have been a blog slacker, but we have had a lot going on around here! Titus turned nine months a couple of weeks ago, which is so hard to believe. It was a big month for him, as well. He began full force crawling and pulling up to standing, which prompted a quick dropping of his mattress! He said his first words, "duck and dada," which we try to get him to say all of the time. He began eating meat and poultry, as well as yogurt and berries. This has been just such a fun age, as his personality is really beginning to shine. Yesterday, at church, the ladies in the nursery commented on how fun Titus was and what a flirt he had become. They said he was standing up and squealing at a little baby girl, Emma, who happens to be the assistant pastor's child. One of them said it was just like watching a peacock strut around. Oh, what a precious, little boy God has given us!

Congratulations!

We are getting ready to head off to church, so this will be short, but I wanted to congratulate my baby brother, Matthew, and his now fiancee, Krista, for getting engaged this weekend! They are a great couple and it is always awesome to see God bring two people together. Krista is so wonderful and she is a vet student, who loves animals, so you know she has a huge heart! Congratulations to the happy couple. We cannot wait for the wedding!

NYC Girl's Weekend

Two of my very best friends, Kelly and Kristi, joined me in NYC for our annual girl's weekend. Now that Kel is an actual New Yorker, we got around much better. We had a great dinner at UVA, high tea at Sweetiepie, visited FAO, went to Bryant Park (sadly no Tim Gunn), saw Shrek on Broadway, and saw Maggie Gyllenhall on the street. Most of all, we just enjoyed spending time with each other and talking, talking, talking. Love you girls!

An Officer and a Little Gentleman!

In honor of Veteran's Day, I thought I would post a couple of pictures of Joel, who faithfully serves, and Titus, who is forming such a special bond with him. In fact, Titus' first two words were dada and duck! So, thank you to all who have served and continue to serve, especially Joel, my Dad, Eric Klingemann, Carol Klingemann, Kelly Stewart, and Granddaddy Stewart. Happy Veteran's Day!

I know this picture has nothing to do with Titus and Joel, but I thought he looked pretty cute in his Batman shirt!

He likes to move it, move it!

Titus has been moving around a lot the last couple of weeks. He has completely mastered the army low crawl and is now on to the more traditional crawl. The dogs are completely freaked out! It is amazing how much he is growing.

My True Companion

Five years ago, we were dating, four years ago today we were married, and last year, we were on the cusp of becoming parents. Some may say it was a whirlwind courtship, but I know that the Lord was preparing us for each other all of our lives. God has been truly gracious and faithful in our lives. You are my best friend and you still make me weak in the knees (wink)! As we continue to grow in our marriage and journey into parenthood, I am happy to have you by my side.

Loving you now and always! Happy Anniversary!
