We have really had the chance to be together as a family lately, which is great! Joel has had some downtime from work, and we are enjoying every second! Here are some pictures and video of Christmas Eve.
Titus is trying his hardest to climb the stairs and walk. There have been a few tumbles, but that is all part of the process. He is also starting to wave to people.
All giddy with excitement.
"It's a present!!!!"
Joel and Titus vacuuming. Thanks Guys!
Titus enjoying his Christmas Eve dinner. He has gotten very good at feeding himself.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care....
We had a truly wonderful Christmas! We just lounged in our PJs, ate some Breakfast Enchiladas, and watched Titus tear through gifts. We are so thankful for our little gift of Titus, and especially thankful for our best and most enduring gift, our Savior! Here are some pictures and videos of Christmas Day. What a blast!
Titus, checking out what Santa brought him!
Our future cowboy!
Titus truly enjoyed the boxes, ribbon, and wrapping paper more than the actual gifts.
Mmmm...these coins taste good.
Checking out his new books from Gran.
Eating the ribbon.
We got Titus one of those old fashioned Fisher Price TVs that we both had. He loves watching the pictures go by.
The boys playing on the couch after Titus' morning nap. All smiles!
His new wood puzzle that he enjoys taking apart, but not putting together.
Titus gives this look quite often. It is as if he is trying to say, "You talkin' to me?" Anyway, here he is with his Little People Nativity from Grammy and Grampy. It is just the cutest! Here is another version of The Look.
Standing by new Kitchen Aid Food Processor, courtesy of my sweet husband. He even got it in Pink to match the Mixer. I love my man!
Getting excited about our Christmas Day walk in the park! I know that I have said it before, but Titus loves being outside and he really has since he was born. I think he just loves the fresh air and watching the world go by. It doesn't matter how hot or cold...this kid loves the outdoors.

We had more snow on Sunday than we have ever had up here in Connecticut....about two feet! It was definitely a fun way to usher in Winter! Of course, the entire family had to get bundled up to head outside for some fun. With the dogs, the baby, doggie bags, the camera, and the Flip video it may have been a better idea in theory than in practice! Here are some fun shots.
Titus is ten months old! He is into everything and is beginning to use all of our furniture to take those first tentative steps. His personality continues to come out and he is all rough and tumble boy! He is banging his toys, squealing when we tickle him, and dunking his head under the faucet for bath time. What a joy!
It has been a precious time as we prepare for Christmas and celebrating the birth of our Savior certainly has renewed meaning this year. Joel and I were both talking about how having Titus has shed new light on what God did for us through His Son. We both cannot fathom how God felt when Christ died, as we cannot imagine sacrificing our own son. When I hear "The Little Drummer Boy" and it comes to the part, "...then He smiled at me, parumpapapum..." I get a little teary because I think of all of the times Titus has smiled at me and how Jesus smiled at so many, first as a baby and then as a man, our Savior. His Grace is amazing and so enduring. We only pray that Titus will have a heart for Him and enjoy His company as he continues to grow.
It has been freezing up here, so Titus is all bundled up for our daily walk.
We were so lucky to have Mom and Dad come visit this past week from Austin. It was really cold, but we had the chance to go to Mystic, the cider mill, and Old Mystik Village. We even got the chance to see Santa! Titus was so excited to see his grandparents and he had the chance to show off all of his new skills, and learn some new ones. Gran taught Titus to clap his hands and it is as if Titus never knew he had hands before! It was a great time and we are so thankful they could make the trip!
Just hanging out with Grandpa and Gran.
Grandpa and Titus.
Titus really likes to eat!
Gran singing to Titus.
At the Cider Mill, all bundled up!
Titus and Gran in the sweet outfit she bought him.
At Old Mystik Village's Festival of Lights. Titus was amazed at the stilt walkers.
We travelled to Kentucky to be with my parents over Thanksgiving. It was a crazy, long road trip, but a wonderful visit! Titus was such a trooper in the car and just talked with us, and slept! We hope your Thanksgiving was fantastic as well.
