When the cat is away.....

Since Joel has been gone, I have really been trying to keep Titus occupied with little adventures, playdates, and of course, daily trips to the playground. Hopefully, it keeps both of our minds off the fact that one of our family members is away.

Navigating the playground bridge.

Faux rock climbing.

We had a little dinner date at Chick Fil A.

Burlington County had a 4-H Farm Fair, which was wonderful! We got to see a lot of animals, check out some local artisans, and inspect some farm equipment. It was steaming hot, however, so we couldn't stay for the rides. Here is Titus in a mooing contest.

Looking at some antique tractors.
Petting the goats. They were so well behaved....Titus on the other hand....
"If only these bars weren't in my way!"
I know this is a bad picture, but I loved this sheep! So soft and sweet.
Playing with trucks and corn kernels.

Swiffer Master.

Titus has been extra helpful these past couple of weeks while Joel has been away. Here he is demonstrating one of his favorite little tasks! Just as a FYI: I didn't ask him to do this. He basically just grabbed the swiffer from my hands to test it out.

A Visit with Gran!

We were so fortunate to have Mom Casarez (Gran) come visit with us last week! With Joel being gone, it was really great to have the company and extra hands with Titus! We went to Philadelphia to see the sites, the Amish farmer's market to sample the goodies and do a little shopping, and just relaxed! It was a wonderful time and I am just so thankful that she made the trip up here.

Independence Hall. It is so crazy to see these historic buildings in the middle of a cosmopolitan city. It is mind blowing.

Mom outside of Carpenter's Hall.

Titus smelling the flowers.

Grooving to a musician outside of Betsy Ross's home.

We were going through some old pictures and found one of Joel from our wedding. We decided to test Titus's skills. Of course he recognized it, proclaiming, "Dada!"

"Can't a man eat in peace without you two?"

Titus playing with the great train that Gran bought him at the Market.

Thanks for the fantastic visit! We love you!

Cooling Off!

It has been super hot here in New Jersey. In fact, we have been under excessive heat warnings on most days. Needless to say, my flowers and the grass is not doing well. We set out the sprinkler to give the yard some much needed moisture and Titus could not resist!

A Future Duke Dog.

On the way back to New Jersey, we had the chance to stop of at my beloved alma mater, James Madison University. It was a gorgeous day and we let Titus run all over his future stomping grounds ;)

Checking out the quad.

Playing with leaves outside Hamilton where I had many classes and worked in the box office.

Taking the stairs.

A happy boy with his Pooh Bear. He got that scratch below his eye that morning at the hotel playing with Daddy. Such a trooper!

A Hokie Wedding!

We were so excited to travel to Blacksburg, VA to see my little brother, Matthew, marry a great girl...my new sister, Krista! I always forget how much I miss and love Virginia until we go back for a visit. It was wonderful getting the chance to see everyone and of course, be there for the big day!

Titus meeting a Hokie bird, one of many all around town.

Titus loves touching leaves on trees and just gets so excited, running and saying, "trees, leaves..."

Titus is our little water bug! We took a break at the hotel pool, which he loved.

The rehearsal dinner at Sal's. Look how happy my Aunt Tracey looks!

Titus and my Aunt Pam playing peek-a-boo!

My sweet cousin, Beth.

Must give Grammy a kiss night night.

My two dapper Dans.

Meeting family friends, Candy and Eric Lamberton.

Entertaining the troops!

Ahhhh...first kiss as a married couple!

Introducing Matthew and Krista Stith!

I stole a picture of a sweet, stolen moment!

Isn't my cousin Beth just the cutest?

I kid you not, the music came on during the reception and this is the reaction from Titus. Soon after he was dancing all around!

Titus chasing the ducks!

Mmmm...cake!

Grampy making Titus giggle with his kisses.

Hanging out with my Aunt Pam and Uncle Chuck.

Kissing his Uncle Matthew good-bye for now.
