Fireproof!

We rarely go to the movies. The house is so warm and cozy. Our new couch is so inviting. Netflix is readily bringing us gifts in the mail. The dogs don't see us enough as it is. Often we go to the movies and one or both of us become upset at the people on cell phones, or the guy behind us providing a play by play of what is going on up on the screen, and the cost can just be astronomical. So when numerous people from our church mentioned how wonderful the movie 'Fireproof' was, we decided to put all of this behind us and venture out to the theater.

Honestly, it was one of the best movies either one of us had ever seen. It is a movie about so many things, but specifically about Covenant Marriage. It follows a husband and wife whose marriage is at a crossroads, and what transpires to get it back on track. It delves into some interesting issues regarding marriage, our interactions with others , and most importantly, our relationship with the Lord. The movie is an amazing testament to how God can use all sorts of medium to get His message to the world. I am so proud of the directors, actors, volunteers, etc. who put time into this project in order to change lives.

We both cried (yes, BOTH of us) during this movie, as we could recognize ourselves in some of the characters actions. The whole theater clapped when it was over and we spent a nice hour afterward at Starbucks talking about the movie and how it touched each of us. The Lord truly worked on both of us via this movie, and we hope you can experience the same.
