Well, we finally have a blog up and running! Due to the fact that we are so far away from many of our family and friends, we wanted something to keep everyone up to date on our adventures, as well as to keep in touch! We will likely protect the site in the upcoming weeks, so that you will need a password to view the blog, but we will let you know when that time comes!

I thought it would be neat if our first blog entry was about our trip to Monterey in October. Joel is in a competitive class at the Naval Post-Graduate Institute and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit him. It is so gorgeous out there, and really a must see. The food tastes better, the people are so relaxed, and the sunshine doesn't hurt a bit. They have a recreation trail out there that follows the shoreline and you can sea lions, birds, rays, fish, and just appreciate God's landscape. We visited San Francisco, went on a six mile hike in a Nature Preserve, drove the famous 17 mile drive through Pebble Beach, shopped in Carmel, and just enjoyed the California coast, as well as each other!
